Recently, the United States House of Representatives passed a bill— Uyghur Act— condemning  “[the] gross human rights violations of ethnic Turkic Muslim in Xiniang.”

This bipartisan bill passed in the House overwhelmingly—this bill would call for addressing the “mass internment of over 1,000,000 Uyghurs,” and call for the Trump Administration to impose sanctions against China for their reprehensible actions.

China, having a long history of systematically oppressing people and violating human rights, have been repressing  “approximately 13,000,000 Turkic, moderate Sunni Muslims, particular Uygurs.”

The Blue Club urges the Republican-controlled Senate to approve this bill and denounce China’s actions against Muslim minorities and their people—as John F. Kennedy once said, “the rights of every man are diminished when the rights of one man are threatened.”
